I told you last week that October is NationalCookie Month.I thought you might enjoy what cokkies say about your personality .

· Chocolate Chip -- You're as American as apple pie, and you're raising your kids with the traditional values you treasure. Your low-key approach to life makes you a favorite with family and friends because you bring a steadying influence to the most chaotic situations.

· Ginger Snaps -- You're bold, brave and in search of excitement. Life is never dull when you're around, and both kids and adults are attracted by your zest for life. You never shy away from new adventures, leading a happy band of friends and family who'll gladly follow you anywhere.

· Graham Crackers -- You're softhearted and kind with a taste for nostalgia. You have many fond memories of your childhood, and your closet is probably stuffed with keepsakes from years gone by. But you don't dwell on the past because you're too busy making memories today.

· Vanilla Wafers -- You have uncanny intuitive powers that give you the unique ability to size up a situation or a person with breathtaking accuracy. Loved ones caught up in complex problems often turn to you for advice because they know you'll steer them in the right direction.

· Sandwich Cookies -- Whether you eat the creme filling first or dunk them in milk, your choice says you're a creative person with a vivid imagination. A born storyteller, you're often the center of attention at parties, regaling your pals with funny, sometimes outrageous, tales.

· Fig Newtons -- Quiet, reserved and mature, your keen mind makes you a force to be reckoned with. You always have your "ducks in a row," and your organizational skills assure your home and job are both running smoothly. Just don't forget, spontaneity is a good thing too.

· Sugar Cookies -- You're a nonconformist who believes that variety is the spice of life. Your avid interest in a multitude of subjects, teamed with your antiestablishment sensibility, makes you a challenging companion. You may not always take the safe path, but there's no doubt that life with you is never dull.

· Oatmeal -- As homespun and down-to-earth as a comfy pair of slippers, you're a genius at making others feel loved. Your family and friends blossom under the warmth of your generous spirit, while your practical approach to problems helps you find the best route to a solution that satisfies everyone involved.

· Shortbread -- You present a placid face to the world, but beneath your calm facade beats the heart of a passionate romantic. In fact, those closest to you would be amazed by your colorful fantasy life. Once you've found the right partner, you're able to give this untapped side free rein with totally satisfying results.

Today is the start of week number 5 in my quest to be FIT BY THE FIRST at FITNESS MATTERS on Highridge Road in Stamford. On Friday I had my first weigh in since I started the program. So far I have lost 2 pounds, but I lost an inch on my waist an inch and a half on my hips and have gained in size on my arms and chest.Plus most impotantly my back not as stiff as it used to be and my stamina has increased. My personal trainer Eric says we are going in the right direction and not to focus on the weight loss.So I am looking forward to getting back to FITNESS MATTERS today for another workout session.I also want to give kudos to Victoria who started her workouts the same time I did,she lost 3 inches on her waist and is a great motivator for me every day that I workout. It goes to show you what hard work and determination will do.When are you going to stop by FITNESS MATTERS on Highridge Road in Stamford? Find out more at www.fitnessmatters.com

See you there,

All kidding aside things are going pretty well.I also have been watching what I eat,now that doesnt mean I have to stop eating the foods I love. But instead of eating four slices of pizza I have one or two pieces with a salad, you can enjoy foods in moderation . The staff at FITNESS MATERS are awesome they make the workout fun and they really care about the people that they train and remember they will work on your schedule. You really should think about getting FIT BY THE FIRST of the new year at FITNESS MATTERS on High Ridge Road in Stamford .Check out their website www.fitnessmatters.com. Hi There,

Well its October already and for those of you that didn't know. Its National Cookie Month .So I thought I would ask. What is your favorite cookie? I have two categories homemade and store bought. In the homemade category I would have to say I have a tie.My mothers chocolate chip cookies and also my mothers peanut butter cookies are the best.Although Wendy Corey has brought in some delectables that come pretty close to moms.My favorite store bought cookies have to go to Oreos....Of course homemade or store bought nothing goes better with cookies than a large glass of milk.

A recent survey by Dairy Queen reveals that regardless of how it is served, many Americans love ice cream.: 78% eat ice cream at least once a month. On average, Americans eat ice cream about three times per month. Ice cream lovers have strong preferences when it comes to how they like to eat their ice cream. Of those adults who say they eat ice cream at least once a month:

· 65% prefer ice cream in a cup

· 28% prefer ice cream in a cone

· 7% didn't care

· Dipped coating or syrup is the topping of choice -- more than half (53 percent) enjoy adding it to their ice cream

I like vanilla with chocolate sprinkles and I have a weakness for chocolate chip ice cream Although I haven't eaten any since I started to be FIT BY THE FIRST...What's your favorite ?

You never know how far you can push yourself to do something.Yesterday at FITNESS MATTERS on High Ridge Road in Stamford my instructor Eric got together with another instructor Brian to team up his trainee Victoria along with myself. Here was the catch we each had to do the same exercises. While one person was doing the exercises the other had to run on the treadmill. So the goal here was to get done as quickly as possible so the person on the treadmill wouldnt get too tired. It was one of the most grueling sessions ever.We both came through pretty well there were time I didnt think I would make it and with some rooting from my teammate I did it. The folks at FITNESS MATTERS come up with innovative ways to get you in shape. My goal to be FIT BY THE FIRST of the new year is begining to take shape. My back is not as stiff ,I am sleeping better and I think my clothes are starting to fit a little better. If you have been thinking about working out ,you have to check out FITNESS MATTERS in Stamford on HighRidge Road and join me in my quest to be FIT BY THE FIRST.You will be glad you did .

First I would like to thank Wendy Corey's cat Cleo for checking out my blog yesterday.Wendy left me a note that Cleo enjoyed my blog....Here is this weeks PAWS PET OF THE WEEK
Hi there, my name is Blue. I guess you could say they named me because of my color, but maybe itʼs also because of my past. You see, I was tied to the fence at PAWS one day when my owner did not want me anymore. I guess I was too much trouble for them. Iʼm a strong girl, but I donʼt think Iʼm a lot of trouble. I really donʼt need much except some love and patience. In fact when people come to see me, I like to wiggle my tail and bring them toys. I would like an adult home where I can be the only pet. Come and meet me - I can promise you, to know me is to love me.
Interested? Please call PAWS at (203) 750-9572 or visit www.pawsct.org to see other great dogs and cats looking for homes.

PETS REVEAL YOUR PERSONALITY

Hey There ,

I thought that you might find this interesting. At our house we have two birds, two dogs and three fish tanks.

The kind of pet you choose can be a direct reflection on the type of person you really are. "There's a powerful connection between people and their pets that's truly beneficial," says psychologist Marion Steinberg. "Research has shown you'll live a longer, happier life if you open your heart to anything from a dog to a parrot." Steinberg says the latest study proves the animals you choose to love actually highlights your personal traits. So what does your favorite pet say about you? Choose the one you like the best and discover more about yourself.

  • Birds -- Fun-loving and adventurous, folks in your inner circle know you'll try anything once. The trouble is, you don't always plan ahead to avoid catastrophe. If you curb your impatience, you'll land on your feet more often than not.
  • Cats -- Just like the feline, you're picky about who you lavish your affection on. You're a natural-born leader who's not afraid to stand up for your rights and take charge of a situation. That's fine because your co-workers respect your ideas.
  • Dogs -- You're a straight shooter, and your pals often ask for your clear-eyed advice and thoughtful observations. A loyal and true friend, you never betray a confidence. Best of all, when you give your friendship, it's for life.
  • Fish -- You're a creative person who appreciates beauty in all its forms. Friends and family love your generous spirit and unselfish approach to life. You're also perceptive and observant -- a person who's always in the know.
  • Gerbils/Guinea Pigs -- Loved ones are sometimes confused by your behavior. You can be shy and standoffish or outgoing and full of spunk, depending on your mood. But despite the ups and downs, you're a popular and well-loved person.
  • Pot-belly pigs -- You're intelligent, funny and affectionate. Life is something to be enjoyed to the fullest. But although your friends are the center of your life, you may have a commitment phobia when it comes to love.
  • Rabbits -- These indicate you're a shy yet curious nature, ready for anything.
